Arc de Triomphe

Decided by Napoleon 1st to celebrate the glory of war heroes, the Arc de Triomphe is the symbol of the nation. Since 1923, it has housed the eternal flame of the Unknown Soldier.

Overlooking the Place de l’Etoile and its twelve avenues, its panoramic terrace offers a breathtaking view of the capital.

The Champs-Élysées

The Champs Elysées avenue, as famous as all the brands it hosts, is now considered the most beautiful avenue in the world. Like Louis Vuitton, all the major brands have set up their showcase shops here, just like real museums.

The Palais des Congrès

Just a stone’s throw from Porte Maillot, the Palais des Congrès is one of the capital’s major business, conference and entertainment venues. It has four amphitheatres as well as numerous lounges, shops, restaurants, meeting rooms and exhibition areas.

The Salle Pleyel

The Salle Pleyel is a famous symphony concert hall in Paris, named after the famous French piano manufacturer Pleyel. Listed as a historic monument in 2002, it has hosted almost 20,000 concerts and welcomed 25,000,000 spectators since it opened.

The Bois de Boulogne

Once the hunting ground of the kings of France, the Bois de Boulogne has become the largest recreational area in western Paris. Covering an area of 850 hectares, one of the lungs of the capital includes the Parc de Bagatelle, the Jardin des Serres d’Autueil, the Pré-Catelan and the Jardin d’Acclimatation.

The Markets

The 17th arrondissement is bursting with small neighbourhood markets. Browse the stalls of cheesemongers, market gardeners, florists and pork butchers in a friendly atmosphere in search of new flavours. The Batignolles market and the flower market are open every day except Monday. For an entirely organic market, go to the rue des batignolles on Saturday mornings.

Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré

Saint-Honoré is one of the capital’s most luxurious avenues. Renowned for its embassies and art galleries, it is also home to some of the world’s leading haute-couture houses, including Lanvin, Cartier, Yves Saint-Laurent, Chloé, Channel and Hermès.
